Author Laura DeMarco’s ‘Lost Civil War’ Book Signing Set – with a special ready-made cocktail


CLEVELAND, Ohio – Cleveland writer Laura DeMarco will host a signing at the Prosperity Social Club for her latest book, “Lost Civil War: The Disappearing Legacy of America’s Greatest Conflict”.

The signing will take place from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, June 12.

To get in the spirit, Jeffrey Siefer, the general manager of the bar, concocted a Civil War-inspired cocktail, “Bourbon Junkie”. It is billed as a tribute to Union and Confederation soldiers who traded coffee and whiskey. It’s a blend of home brewed coffee, bourbon with sweet vermouth, Campari, and bitter cocoa for $ 10. In accordance with the theme, a Sazerac du Nord (rye) and a Sazerac du Sud (Cognac) will be available.

“Lost Civil War” (Pavilion / Rizzoli, $ 24.95) is scheduled for release on Tuesday, June 15. The book covers a range of history, including sites, encampments, historic buildings and the legacy of Civil War prisons. It includes more than 200 photographs.
