Critical-role graphic novels to collect Bright Queen & Vox Machina Origins


Critical Role: Vox Machina Origins Series III and Critical Role: The Tales of Exandria – The Bright Queen will soon be available in paperbacks.

Dark Horse Comics will collect both current critical role titles in two upcoming graphic novels. Soon, Critical role: Vox Machina Origins Series III and Critical role: Tales of Exandria – The Shining Queen will be accessible as pocket books.

The fantastic epic of Origins of Vox Machina is currently available as an ongoing series, delving deeper into the world of critical role, based on the role-playing game. The title is written by Jody Houser (Black orphan, Strange things) with illustrations by Olivia Samson, colors by MSASSYK (Gotham Academy), Diana Sousa (Isola), letters from Ariana Maher (Xena), and covers by Minttu Hynninen. In the same way, Critical role: Tales of Exandria – The Shining Queen develops the game of Master Matthew Mercer, with a story by Darcy van Poelgeest, winner of the Eisner Prize (Little bird) and illustrations by CoupleofKooks.

May 4, 2022, Critical role: Vox Machina Origins Series III will be published as a commercial paperback, with Critical role: Tales of Exandria – The Shining Queen will be released shortly after June 15th. The two collected series are currently available for pre-order at $ 19.99. The 4-part mini-series The luminous queen tells the story of Leylas Kryn as she lived many lives trying to bring the Luxons together. After a piece of the Luxon showed up, she let Quana find it, causing major ramifications in the dynasty. During this time, Vox Machine follows a week that stretches through to the Winter’s Crest Festival, which involves an underground battle ring, meant to give the characters the money they need so badly. Unfortunately, when they acquire the funds, an attack causes the city to freeze, leading to the reveal of a mysterious new villain.


As the Amazon Prime animated series The legend of Vox Machina is out, the new paperback collections arrive at a perfect time for fans to get even more familiar with the critical role universe.
