Follow Friday: Rax King’s Quarantine Interview

Thanks to COVID-19, the actors are trapped at home like the rest of us, so we decided to do something a little different from our usual “Follow Friday” column while we are all isolated. Instead of interviewing up-and-coming comedians we love on Twitter, we go live to Instagram every week to check in with some of our favorite people in comedy to get a glimpse of how they’re handling the pandemic. So welcome to our new version of the column, now titled “Follow (from a safe distance) Friday”.

This week I explored the depths of my lower middle class education for a virtual conversation with Rax King (Tights, Boil at low culture, unofficial writer-in-residence at the Cheesecake Factory) on how she copes on post-pub day in the event of a pandemic. She detailed all the crucial qualities that make an irresistible cult, explained her forward-thinking concept for a new restaurant chain that only serves table-ready meals, and gave some great mall gift tips that boiled down to it all. with the purchase of three different products in the same fragrance. by Bath & Body Works. She also got nostalgic (and a little confused) of a well-known, very crappy, recently closed club clothing store: thongs on the floor – like, did anyone even work there? I don’t know if I have ever spoken to a Wet Seal employee.

You can find Rax on Twitter and Instagram at @RaxKingIsDead.
