The incendiary leader of TMC sought to poke holes in Adityanath’s claim that UP attracted huge investment during his rule and asked where the money went. “It’s good… Mogambo (Modi) must be happy but where did he go? Did he go to PM Care… he’s not even audited, he has money from officials, corporate CSR funds,” she said. .

She also referenced Modi’s remarks during his campaign rallies in Bengal that the elder’s government did not allow Durga Puja celebrations. “The people of Bengal gave a tight smack… UNESCO rewarded our Durga Puja… aren’t you (Modi) ashamed?” she said.

Mamata compared the BJP leaders to the “cuckoo”, saying they “only sing during the spring (elections)”.

The TMC leader called AIMIM leader Aasuddin Owaisi a ‘BJP hello’ and also said BSP supremo Mayawati had ‘surrendered to the saffron party’ as she called on the Muslims and Dalits to support Akhilesh and not let their votes go to waste by supporting any other party.

Mamata said she would travel to Varanasi, Modi’s Lok Sabha constituency, on March 3 to campaign for Akhilesh. She also said that she will pay homage to the famous Kashi Vishwanath temple during her visit.
