New documents detail run-in with former Seminole County tax collector Joel Greenberg – WFTV

SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla .– Channel 9 reporter Jeff Levkulich has obtained new documents from the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office, detailing his run-ins with former Seminole County tax collector, Joel Greenberg, over the years.

The latest confrontation with MPs came on March 2 after Greenberg violated the terms of his bail in his federal case of criminal harassment of a political opponent and child sex trafficking.

According to the incident report, when MPs went to serve a warrant at his Henley Place home in Heathrow on March 2, Greenberg refused to come out.

During the negotiations by phone, Greenberg made suicidal comments and, according to the MP, has said on several occasions that he will take pills, use guns and improvise explosive devices.

Eventually, Greenberg surrendered and was taken to jail.

Records also detail a “suspicious encounter” in October 2020 when Greenberg allegedly approached Lynn Moira’s husband and encouraged her to defeat the other Seminole County tax collector candidate, the report said.
