Star Wars books to read after watching the show

For years, books and comics have acted as a phenomenal medium for storytelling. star wars stories, adding details to the franchise and exploring the characters. They also so often enhance shows and movies, and a few books already do that for Boba Fett’s book. The series has just completed its first season and there are a handful of novels that fans of the series should read as soon as they can.

Whether these stories have characters and ideas in common or just take place at the same time as the series, or just have great Boba Fett content, some star wars the novels constitute a post-Boba Fett book reading.

The chronology of the legends of star wars is full of ridiculousness and badassery, and Boba Fett is no stranger to either in the star wars franchise. While none of this is canon and related to Boba fans, The Boba Fett Book or the original trilogy, there are plenty of stories worth reading for fans to get another look at the bounty hunter.

Novels like Lines by Karen Traviss (released as part of the Legacy of the Force series), hard goods by KW Jeter, Slave ship by KW Jeter, and Tales from Jabba’s Palace by various authors all provide solid Boba Fett content. Comics may be better for some post-Boba Fett book The badassery of legends, however.


Doctor Aphra: An Original Audiobook by Sarah Kuhn (2020)


It’s not so much a book to read; instead, it’s a must-listen to, with a full voice cast playing the roles throughout. Doctor Aphra: an original audiobook, an appropriate story to delve into the post-Book by Boba Fett.

As in its titular comics, this story of Doctor Aphra has a role for none other than Black Krrsantan, known to Aphra as Big K. With Krrsantan playing a part in Boba Fett’s BookThe first season of and likely future seasons, this novel and accompanying comics are good to get to know better. Given her involvement in the Doctor Aphra stories, this is also another look at crime in the galaxy, which is explored in the series. Boba himself also makes a brief appearance in the book.


Poe Dameron: Free Fall by Alex Segura (2020)


One of the major plot points in Boba Fett’s Book is the spice trade that makes its way through Tatooine through the Pykes. One of many star wars stories that mention and explore spices are Poe Dameron: Freefall.

The novel follows Poe while he is still a spice runner on Kijimi, giving those interested in this aspect of Boba Fett’s Book a closer look at trade in other parts of the Galaxy. The novel also takes place about a decade after the events of the series. If audiences are interested in this time in the Galaxy and following characters trying to become better versions of themselves (Boba and Poe, respectively), they’ll get something out of the novel.


Star Wars: Last Shot: A Han and Lando Novel by Daniel José Older (2018)


Released alongside Solo: A Star Wars Story, Last shot is another great story shared with one of Star Wars’ best duos, Han Solo and Lando Calrissian, two years before the events of The Mandalorian and Boba Fett’s Book.

For those who watched the series and were curious about other criminal activity in the Galaxy or wondered what the two main culprits of getting Boba eaten by the Sarlacc were doing at the time of the show, this novel delivers. It contains flashbacks to the Imperial era while showing how two other former criminals adjust to life in the New Republic, much like Boba.


Claudia Gray’s Bloodline (2016)


Boba Fett’s Book is defined, as The Mandalorianat a time in galactic history when the New Republic is still properly forming, rising from the ashes of the Empire. Lines gives incredible insight into how this happens.

Boba Fett’s series shows that the influence of the New Republic has even reached a planet like Tatooine, and Lines will help fans understand, from Leia Organa’s perspective, how the government has managed to expand its influence as a governing body. It also says a lot about the post-Return of the Jedi story, which might interest audiences after getting a glimpse of what his brother is up to during this time.

From a Certain Point of View by Various (2017)


One of the countless things to love star wars is the fact that almost everyone has a story. Perhaps no novel illustrates this better than From a certain point of view.

From a Certain Point of View: The Empire Strikes Back by Various (2020)


Three years later From a certain point of view came out, a novel centered on characters from A new hopea sequel was released, under the same title but this time focusing on The empire strikes back featuring more Boba Fett stories.

Boba Fett isn’t just part of a story this time around; it appears in several. “Wait For It”, “Standard Imperial Procedure”, “The Witness”, “Beyond The Clouds”, and “The Man Who Built Cloud City” all have guest appearances from the bounty hunter. He is also mentioned in many other stories. It’s a heavy Boba novel and a must-read for all fans of the bounty hunter.

Chuck Wendig’s Aftermath Trilogy (2015-2017)


the Consequences trilogy helped launch the extended canon into the new era of star wars under Disney, being the first novels to link the originals to the new movies. They also happen to launch an already iconic Mandalorian/Boba Fett Book personage.

In these novels, readers meet Cobb Vanth. That in itself is enough to read the novels after Boba Fett’s Bookbut what makes them so significant is the fact that these novels chronicle how Vanth got his hands on Boba Fett’s iconic armor, filling a gap that many more casual viewers have.
