Izzy started writing “The Hush Society Presents…” in high school, and it went through a lot of rewriting and editing during his college days. While working and blogging, she continued to edit her first novel. Finally, in 2021, she decided to self-publish on Amazon.

“I ran a music blog where I went to a lot of concerts and wrote about them. Over the years I have run several music blogs and wanted to be able to make blogging a career, ”Izzy explains. “Later, I decided to approach blogging from a business perspective, which led me to focus now as a blogger.”

Izzy has always appreciated the opportunity to merge his passion for writing and business. “I [started] by being an active member of INK Enderun. I joined INK as a rookie and went from being a feature film writer to being head of feature films and finally editor-in-chief for two years, ”explains Izzy.

She recalls that some of her fondest memories in college were the classes, extracurricular activities, and internships she had at the time. She recalls working at Bella Luce Publications, which is the publisher of Lonely Planet Philippines, and taking a creative writing course at the University of Oxford.

Her inspiration changes a lot, but what drives Izzy above all is her vision to live her life on her terms and do what makes her happy. She strives to constantly grow and be better. Another important lesson she enjoys is that she can always apply theory in practice. She enjoys learning new things today, especially when it comes to improving her blog and writing crafts to the point that she is always thinking about how she can apply her learnings right away.

“Even though it takes a long time to realize your aspiration, if it’s something you want, keep going. Take a chance on your dreams and make the most of the opportunities that are available to you or create an opportunity for you to make your dreams come true, ”advises Izzy to those who dream of becoming an author. “There is never a linear path to get to where you want to be, but I believe if you keep going you will eventually get there.”
